Al Chione **

A retired firefighter Al began shooting in 1954 after his interest in railroading
was sparked by his grandfather, an engineer on the CB&Q, and his dad who was a railfan.

Al built one of the largest train slide collections extant, and was making dupes
of his slides available commercially for many years. He co-authored a fine railfan
book spotlighting Al's friend Howard Fogg's remarkable body of railroad art.

Al and his wife Bernadette live in Colorado, very close to the Durango & Silverton.
