Fred is a longtime contributor to railfan publications.
A native Californian, Fred left San Francisco to live for a time
in England and Canada, finally completing the circuit by
returning to live in Oakland, California.
Classic Trains Magazine ran a feature on Fred's great
coverage of WP 2-8-8-2's in the Feather River Canyon
in their Spring 2003 issue.
